Sue
Regan
Church Secretary
Sue joined the leadership team as church secretary in 2013. Before retiring Sue was a Primary School Teacher in the local area.
Sue joined Harold Park Baptist Chuch in 1957 as a member of Girls’ Life Brigade, and rose through the ranks to Captain, and was in that post for 20 years. Sue was also a Sunday school Teacher at the church for 25 years.
Ken
Brunton
Church Treasurer
Ken became treasurer in May 2025 having been at the church since 2016
Ken ran his own printing business up until 2014 when he retired. He now fills his time as an exam invigilator at local schools, working at a golf course, as well as enjoying a round or two.
Lorraine
Durrant
Church Leader
Lorraine returned to the church in 2024 with her husband Simon and became a church leader in March 2025.
Lorraine works as a private tutor after working as a Teaching Assistant in Primary schools for many years. Lorraine has many years experience of Christian youth work, and working in the Guides and Scouting movements.
Simon
Durrant
Church Leader
Simon grew up in the church and his parents were long time members and leaders. He returned, with his wife Lorraine, in 2024, and became a leader in March 2025.
Simon works for a London University and has many years of leading Christian youth work experience, And having been a Sunday school teacher and Scout Leader.
Harold Park Baptist Church was established in 1928 on the land at the junction of Ingreway and Harold Court Road. The first building was a timber-framed mission hall, which has been extended and added to over the years to become the present building.
Although originally part of the Essex Baptist Association, the church joined the Fellowship of Independent Evangelical Churches in 1959.
Following a change in leadership in early 2025, Harold Park Baptist Church rejoined the Baptist Union and the Eastern Baptist Association in July of the same year.
Harold Park Baptist Church is always looking for new ways to engage with and support the surrounding community.

Harold Wood Foundation - We will be working with the foundation as part of the Christmas in the Community event in Harold Wood Station Car Park.
